Either way, hi everyone! I am Madelyn and I am a digital marketing expert! Let’s dive into the digital marketing addiction. I graduated from Villa Maria College with a degree in business administration, digital media marketing, and marketing in general. I was a colligate athlete, I struggle with chronic illness and worked four jobs like a psychopath. If you can’t tell, I was an overachiever and I have yet to outgrow that. While I was very good at marketing and enjoyed my internships in the field, I did not feel like it was the right field for me. My last semester of college, I had finished my internship and I needed a part time job to make some cash while finishing my last semester. The sister company of the company my mom worked for was in need of someone to run their social media. I thought why not, this is my wheelhouse and I know what I am doing so let’s go for it. After two years, it developed into me running this wedding venue and while I found my love for the wedding industry, I also found that my niche was not in client communications. While my couples are the sweetest, most down to earth humans you have ever met, I prefer working from home under my heated blanket from the comfort of my couch in my home.
That venue has grown tremendously in the past few years and has been my pride and joy. My dedication and passion to this venue grew in such a way that I knew I needed to branch off on my own to help other wedding venues specifically to improve their digital media marketing. While I am part of a generation that is enthralled with the delevopments in technology and I am early to the game for new tools, this whole topic makes a lot of business owners in general want to run screaming for the hills.
This is where I come in with myself as well as Hourglass Marketing and Didi. I met DiDi at a Wedding Venue Owners Working Vacation in Georgia and we got to chatting about what I was doing for the venue I was with, learning that a lot of my efforts were directly related to their recent success. Seeing how that information could help other wedding venues was another shove towards making my business happen.
