Recently a wedding venue owner had a client book a Sunday brunch, however the venue owner soon found out that the client was planning a day drinking party where attendees could purchase tickets to attend. Once ticket sales come into play, risk and liability increase. We are seeing a rise in this trend where clients do not fully inform the wedding venue owner of the true nature of the event they are booking. When a client books your venue for a wedding or wedding related event but then sells tickets via social media to the event at your venue, hundreds of strangers could show up.
